Mentorship

Diversity
Promote diversity and inclusion within various industries by supporting the next generation of leaders.
Why we are doing this
Our society is rich with potential, yet many of our young talents lack the resources and guidance needed to navigate their career paths. Early Pathways: Shadowing for Success aims to:
The Importance of
Representation
Underrepresented communities face significant challenges in professional careers. For instance:
STEM careers
Only 9% of STEM workers are Black, and 7% are Hispanic, despite these groups making up a larger share of the overall workforce.
Legal Sector
Only 5% of lawyers are Black and 5% are Hispanic, even though these groups make up a larger share of the population.
Financial Services
Just 8% of finance professionals are from underrepresented groups, and less than 3% hold senior leadership positions.
Healthcare
Black and Hispanic individuals represent only 5% and 6% of physicians, respectively, and 11% of registered nurses are from these groups.
Executive Leadership
Less than 4% of Fortune 500 CEOs are from underrepresented backgrounds.
Income Disparity
Only about 9% of Americans make six figures or more, and within this group, the percentage is even lower for people from underrepresented backgrounds.
Early Pathways
These statistics highlight the need for programs like Early Pathways: Shadowing for Success to create equitable opportunities and foster diversity in various industries.
